Welcome to the second meeting of the EMC Book Club! I’ll be trying to post a new book at least once a month, if not more frequently. It all depends on how fast I can read them! Today’s book will be Perfect Little World by Kevin Wilson.
I’m so excited to talk about this book today! I read this back in March, and I still feel the effects of it! Have you ever read a book that changes how you look at the world? This is definitely one of those books.
In this novel, the Perfect Little World is a research project that focuses on shaping young children. A group of
19 parents and 10 children are the subjects of this project, and have to work together to raise the children in a certain way. The book focuses on the effects that the research project has on the families, specifically the only single parent in the group, Izzy.
There’s so much to this book: real emotions and thought-provoking content. It makes you question if this is actually a valid thing to do in this day and age. The characters are so easy to relate to, and the picture that Kevin Wilson paints is beyond clear. If you’re looking for a book that will speak to you, this is definitely one to look into.
Thanks for hanging around for the second book club meeting! Let me know if you’ve read this, and what you think about it! Also, don’t forget to mention any suggestions for future book club posts! I’m always looking for something to read!
Oh, and before I forget: May the fourth be with you!
