Weight Watchers Starter Kit


I’m so excited to share with you the starter kit I got from WW! It came in a week ago, but I wanted to take it for a test drive before sharing it with all of you. So without further ado, let’s dive in!

The starter kit came with a:

  • Motivational Canvas bag
  • Recipe book
  • Daily Tracking Journal
  • Water / Smoothie container
  • Chocolate Smoothie Mix
  • Coupons (not pictured)


Motivational Canvas bag

They know me too well! I have been a canvas bag fanatic lately and this just adds to my hoard collection!

Recipe book

This is pretty awesome! It’s split into two:  meals for one and meals for two. Each recipe comes with SmartPoints value and serving size (understandable serving sizes, not just X ounces, but 5 pieces of blank and one cup of blank, etc.). Each recipe is super easy to follow, and easy to extend!

For example, they had a recipe for Flank Steak with Grilled Peppers and Asparagus. Well, we’re not really asparagus people, so we substituted in zucchini and onions.

Also, they come with amazing looking sweets that are (mostly) low in point values.

Daily Tracking Journal

I’m most excited about this. I’m a big journal nerd, and a lot of time I forget to track every meal or snack. The journal helps me right it all down when it happens so I can remember to track it later.

Water / Smoothie container

I haven’t gotten a chance to use the container yet – it’s a little too small for water, but a little too big for the smoothie mix. It’s starting to be smoothie season, so I’m sure this will definitely come in handy shortly!

Chocolate Smoothie Mix

I will say, this is some dang good smoothing mix. It doesn’t really mix well (I used an IKEA milk frother that usually always gets the job done). When I went to drink it, it still had little powder bombs, but not to the point it was bad. I also tried it with some ice coffee concentrate, and that made it a quick version of an iced mocha. Not too shabby!

To make the mix, you add 8oz. of water (for 2 smart points) or low/non-fat milk (for 2+milk points) to the mix and shake or stir it up. Add ice to make it a cold drink!

Coupons (not pictured)

Coupons include discounts for more smoothie mix and journal refill paper. I’m not sure if I’ll get a chance to use them, but I am interested to see what other types of smoothie mixes they have. (Edit: I checked and they only have Creamy Chocolate and French Vanilla).
